In order to find effective panic treatments you actually have to dissect what a panic disoder is. There is no doubt a ton of information on Panic Disorders and their various panic treatments and no doubt you have read through an enormous amount of literature on what you are suffering on. Most of that literature tries to impart on you what your going through but that doesn’t really help you out. Sure it is nice to share your feelings but at the end of the day you don’t want to be told how to cope with panic, you want to be free of your panic. You may have worked with a psychologist and tried various panic treatments from medication to cognitive coping mechanisms. So let me lay a solid foundation for you to find the best panic treatments available.


So what is an Anxiety attack and what panic treatments do I use?

In essence a panic disorder is your mind reacting very powerfully to a percieved threat. Now that is very basic but trust me, this is the cornerstone of implementing the most effective panic treatments. Now the origins of this perceived threat is what alot of that literature tries to explain to you and what your therapist tries to convince you of so that they can perscibe sedatives and anti depressants. Medication is not an effective form of panic treatments by the way. To put all the blame of a panic attack on a chemical imbalance when we cannot even test the chemical balances of the brain is just not going to work. With all due respect to the mental health professional, it wasn’t so long ago when drilling a hole through the skull was deemed an effective form of theraphy.

So lets have a look at the anatomy of a panic attack ( once you understand what is really going on then you can implement proper panic treatments ). Lets take an example of a person travelling on a bus. Everything is fine until there is an accident up ahead and the traffic comes to a standstill. The bus driver explains what is going on and that they will be stuck in the middle of the highway for a while. The cars all pile up on either side and the bus is full and the windows are closed and it’s hot… Our example suddenly becomes very uncomfortable. The anxiety starts to rise and the brain tells our example that they are trapped and cannot escape.  BOOM… PANIC ATTACK!!

To some degree these are very common symptoms of a panic attack. Before we carry on to discuss panic treatments for this, very carefully remember what you felt the last time you had a panic attack. If you start feeling uncomfortable, that is okay. Stop whenever you want. Remeber those physical sensations? Good now hold on to those memories because it is very important for your panic treatments. Remember I said that in order to find effective panic treatments you actually have to dissect what a panic disoder is? I also said that a panic disorder is your mind reacting very powerfully to a percieved threat. Well lets apply that now to our example. Everything is fine until the perceived threat and danger of being trapped in a confined space is realised. Now this is a mental manifestation, the mind believes this so powerfully that the body reacts. The mind activates the sympathetic nervous system and your survival mechanism kick in. Your body gets ready to either run for its life or fight for its life.

tick The heart starts pounding (blood is pumped very quickly to the arms and legs in preparation for running or fighting)

tick Tingling sensations in the arms (blood is drained from skin, fingers and toes to prevent blood loss during survival)

tick Shortness of breath (your breathing is intensified to promote greater levels of oxygen in the tissue. This is often misinterpreted as suffocating)

tick Dizziness (a side effect of increase breathing is a loss of blood to the head which results in dizziness)

tick Blurred vision (your pupils widen to allow more light in)

tick Feeling like you are going to die. (Now that you are primed for action your mind starts looking for threats everywhere which can often leave you feeling confused)

All of a sudden the road opens up and the bus continues and our example stops panicking. The parasympathetic nervous system takes over.Its function is to return us to our normal state and relax us. Now some panic treatments revolve around relaxation techniques. Those panic treatments are basically willing the parasympathetic nervous system into action. The great thing is that our parasympathetic nervous system will always kick in at one stage or another. Our bodies are very intelligent and no matter how hard our minds convince us that something is terribly wrong, our survival mechanism will always be stronger. Even to the point that we protect ourselves from ourselves and shut the anxiety down. To give you a great example. Why not try and hold your breath until you pass out. No matter how determined you are and how much will power you have, your body WILL overrule you and take over and force you to breath.

Okay, so how on earth does this help you with panic treatments? If what I am saying is true, then what does this mean for panic treatments? Is there actually a way to implement panic treatments using this information so that you can completely be set free of Panic and Anxiety?

Why are current panic treatments not working?

Many people who have been to well established psychologists seeking panic treatments are told the same coping techniques you read in anxiety forums all over the internet. I had some panic attacks last November. The ‘theme’ was survival – everybody’s survival. During the attacks I thought the end of the world had come. It didn’t, and with therapy and some Valium at critical times I got back to ‘normal’ again, or so I thought.

Then, a couple of months ago, I started having some attacks again. I became consumed just by the fear of having another attack. I was concerned just trying to manage my crazy thoughts.

On my lunch break several weeks ago I had a crazy attack – fear I’d have a heart attack, this was my final moment, etc. I chomped down 2 Valiums, and left work early to go home and flop down on my bed. The next week I caught a cold. This helped take me out of my head and into my body, albeit with a cold. I got over the cold, kept telling myself I was getting better in every way. Then last Friday night in bed I was ‘arguing with somebody’ in my head about something, and I felt a panic coming over me. I got out of bed quick, chomped 1/2 Valium, and turned on my computer to Google ‘panic attacks’ as I had done before. Somehow, I reached a site that linked to yours. I read the testimonials and ordered the program. Just reading it changed things for me! I thought I was through with attacks, but if another one came, I could deal with it. Sunday night, an attack did started coming on. I diffused it just about immediately!
